  7.     What would Freud say about a son acting the role of his
  8. own dad? DESI ARNAZ JR., center, assumes the task, portraying
  9. his late father in the fall film THE MAMBO KINGS. Arnaz was
  10. coaxed into the part when 100 other Desi hopefuls didn't cut it.
  11. The film has Arnaz befriending fledgling mambo kings ARMAND
  12. ASSANTE and ANTONIO BANDERAS. "Playing my own father was a
  13. cathartic experience," says Arnaz, 38. "I not only was able to
  14. capture certain positive feelings I never knew were there
  15. between us, but I was also able to let go of certain negative
  16. feelings that have been buried deep within me all these years."
